State Wildlife
Grants Dear Colleague Letter for FY 2011
We had another successful Fly-in this year. Our principal
measure of success is the number of members who ultimately sign on
to our Dear Colleague letters. This year 47 members of the Senate
and 80 members of the House signed on to the letters this year.
Although this was a slight drop from last year, this arguably may
have been one of the most difficult years in recent memory for
sign on letters. I appreciate your tireless efforts to make call
after call to encourage your members to sign on. I particularly
want to recognize the work that our coalitions from MO, TX, VA,
PA, and NJ did this year-please thank them.

The Teaming With Wildlife Act
The proposed Teaming with Wildlife Act would provide a reliable
and increased amount of funding for preventing wildlife from
becoming endangered. The bill would dedicate a portion of existing
federal revenue from on-shore and off-shore oil and mineral
development activities to the Wildlife Conservation and
Restoration Program.
