2013 Fly-In Event

The annual Teaming With Wildlife Fly-In is sponsored by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, the Teaming With Wildlife Steering Committee and the National Invasive Species Council in Washington DC. The Fly-In is the coalition’s premier event to inform members of Congress the value of the State and Tribal Wildlife Grants Program.



Registration

The $50.00 registration fee includes lunch at the Issue Briefing and admission to all Fly-In events. The registration fee also include your participant and leave behind packet materials. NOTE: If you would like to pay with a credit card please contact Liz Skipper (Email)

Lodging

Please Note: The Association will not be blocking rooms for the Fly-In. Instead the National Invasive Species Council will be making their room block available to Fly-In attendees. More details to come.

Awards


The following awards will be presented at the Congressional Reception on March 6, 2013.

  • Teaming With Wildlife Coalition Member Achievement Award: Recognizes outstanding achievements of a coalition in support of funding for wildlife diversity conservation

    The Winner: Maryland Teaming With Wildlife Coalition

  • State Wildlife Action Plan Award: Recognizes both a state fish and wildlife agency and a partner agency or organization for their outstanding collaboration in the implementation or revision of the state’s Wildlife Action Plan

    The Winner: Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency & the Tennessee Hellbender Recovery Partnership

  • Congressional Members Award Recipients:

    Sen. Chambliss (R, GA)
    Sen. Durbin (D, IL)
    Congressman Gerlach (R, PA)
    Congresswoman DeLauro (D, CT)
